Are there any prerequisites for enrolling?

The only requirement is that you are a graduate or student of the IIN Health Coach Training Program.

How much time will I need to dedicate to this course?

The more you put into this course, the more you will get out of it! While the content is organized into manageable segments that are easy to digest, you can anticipate to dedicate anywhere from 3-10 hours a week to the steps involved in writing, publishing, and promoting your book.

In addition, we recommend that you connect with our staff and classmates in the course Facebook group and on the five live support calls, which we have at different times throughout the course.

Some other factors that may adjust your time commitment:

  • How much of your book you’ve already written (if any)
  • How much background you have in business, marketing, PR, and branding
  • How much you want to interact with the moderators and our community forum throughout the course

My friends and I want to write a book together. Can we join together, share the materials, and split the cost of tuition?

Unfortunately, we cannot offer a shared tuition at this time.

What if I don’t have a book idea yet? Will the course help me develop an idea?

Yes. While most of our students have a concept in mind when they enroll, the first portion of the course focuses on helping you to refine your topic, envision your ideal reader, and get clear on your “beyond the book” goals.

Additionally, the coaching you’ll receive throughout the program will help you to flesh out your ideas every step of the way.

What costs can I anticipate beyond tuition?

In this course, we take a bio-individual approach based on the needs of our students. We teach everything from the do-it-yourself approach where we provide you with the tools and templates to publish your book on a $0 budget. In fact, we’ve had many students publish their books for little to no cost.

However, you will ultimately be responsible for covering your own editing, design, and other service costs associated with taking your book to fruition. The amount you invest in these services will vary depending on your budget and the scope of your book.

Is this course strictly for books about health or nutrition?

No. This course is for anyone that wants to write a book, period. In previous classes, we’ve guided students to publish cookbooks, self-help books, children’s books, novels, and more.

No matter what your topic, we will teach to write, publish, and market the book of your dreams.

Do I need to have experience with writing to take this course?

While we do not teach you HOW to write, we do give you support and guidance around choosing a topic, creating an outline, flushing out your outline, and creating writing prompts to easily get your book written. We also offer resources on editing services to help you dive deeper into your writing. We have had everything from first-time writers to journalists in the course.

This is a great way to get your message out there in writing if writing is not your forte. No matter what path you choose, we’ll support you in getting your book done and published.

I’m almost done with / have finished my book. Will this course be worth it for me?

While most of our students are at the beginning stages of writing their books when they enroll, we have had success helping other students refine and market books they already created.

The course is setup to not only help you write and publish your book, but also market your book in a way that aligns with your “beyond the book” goals. We will help you build a platform for your book and a media presence. View the curriculum here.

What if I can’t make the live calls? Are they recorded?

Yes. We know you’re busy. That’s why we’ve set up the course to be flexible so that you don’t have to worry about missing a single bit of information.

All live coaching calls will be recorded and uploaded within 24 to 48 hours after. If you can’t attend, send in your questions before. You’ll get full access to all the recordings.

What technology do I need in order to take this course?

We offer the course on our Learning Center platform, accessible from a desktop browser or a mobile app (or both)! We’ll provide you with all the information you need to set up your Learning Center account when you enroll. More good news: You can access the course on most devices (computer, smartphone, tablet, etc.), as long as they support Facebook.

How much is tuition? Is there a payment plan option?

Tuition is $995 for students who pay the full amount upfront. We do offer 2 payments plan for those who would prefer to pay their tuition in installments. You can choose from 2 payments of $550 or 3 payments of $375. Your first payment will be due upon registration, and subsequent payments will be processed two months after the last payment.
